Pink…pink…PINK!!

My toddler is learning his colors, and can’t get enough of the word “pink.” He’s running around the house, waving a pink spoon around as he laughs and proudly repeats his new word over and over again. I can’t help but smile as I watch him. And I find that the more he says pink, the more jovial and bright I feel. I realize, there’s something about the word and actual color of pink. It shoots out of your mouth with an explanation mark and brightens up any dull day. I don’t know about you but when I think of pink, visions of cotton candy, bubblegum, My Little Ponies and lipgloss fill my mind. I associate all of these things with fun childhood memories full of laughter and innocence.

For obvious reasons I made the decision that I needed more pink in my life. So I jumped online and started to peruse. Come to find out, there’s a ton of great stuff going on in the world of pink!

Check it out.

You said what?! Bubblegum  Fudge. Yep, it’s a real and delicious thing. Thinking about it takes me back to the days when I was a little girl, and I’d always ask for bubblegum ice cream. Something about the bright color and sugar-sweat taste made everything seem lighter. So transfer that joyous feeling into everyone’s favorite treats ~ Fudge. I did some research and stumbled upon this AH-MAZING blog called The Domestic Rebel. Seriously. Holy Cow. Lord have mercy. Her recipes are what dreams are made of! I’ll forever remember the days I spent strolling down the quaint streets of Paris, the smell of fresh baked baguette filling my senses, lively chatter surrounding me and my taste buds exploding with each bite I took of a lovely pink raspberrry, parisian macaron. Truly, there is nothing like them. They are delicious, delicate and divine! Upon returning to the U.S., I took it upon myself to bake my own macarons. After an afternoon of perusing Pinterest and gazing at the photos of patisserie perfection, I picked out a recipe and got to work. I was confident, thinking to myself ‘how hard can it be?’ Well…recreating the perfect Parisian Macaron is much harder than I thought it would be. After several practice batches, I finally produced a macaron that  was semi-close to looking and tasting like the one in my memories.  I’m not gonna lie, these treats are tough to master. But they’re worth the effort! 7. Roses

I realize, there's something about the word and actual color of pink. It shoots out of your mouth with an explanation mark and brightens up any dull day.

Pink roses ooze the innocence of romance. The ballet, a Paris flower cart, that first kiss…all of these things come to mind when I smell a bouquet of pink roses. They are vibrant, yet so classy. Give them to a friend or a lover or your mother. One thing’s for sure, they’ll love them!

Whether your buying some for yourself or a loved one, you should definitely check out the Volcano Roses by online flower boutique The Bouqs Company. This is an incredible company for several reasons: they source only from eco-friendly, sustainable farms that respect the environment and their workers. Their farms provide living wages, childcare, healthcare and adult education. And their growing business supports farm communities, which is really awesome. The roses are grown on the side of an active Volcano, which sits 10,000 feet above sea level. Because of this, they get the most sun of any roses in the world, which results in bigger, brighter blooms. The arrangements are GORGEOUS, affordable and diverse in style and nature. Finally, they offer free shipping! Yay!

Our favorite pink bouquet they offer is called Killer. Check it out.
